Designed to stay out of the case
While most high end guitars need to be kept in a case and babied, this guitar was designed to stay out of the case, ready to play at all times. The KLOS Electric guitar is durable, with temperature and humidity having no effect.
Carbon neck
Durable, reliable, and carefree. This carbon fiber neck is the ultimate electric guitar neck, with a composite ebony fretboard, minimalistic light weight headstock, fully adjustable truss rod, thin heel, detachable for travel, and perfectly round profile, it’s hard to think of anything more you could ask for.

Detachable neck
The bolt-on detachable neck is not the primary purpose of the guitar, but it is a nice feature that is great in those moments when you need to put it in a suitcase or you are in a crunch for space. This guitar is not designed to be a travel guitar, it’s designed to be your go-to electric guitar. Since guitars in general are very portable, making them durable and easy to travel with is naturally the best solution.
Carbon Fiber Pickguard
While plastic pickguards have been reliable and used for decades by many guitar brands, the KLOS carbon fiber pickguard takes the concept of a pickguard to a whole new level. Having a fully loaded pickguard has a lot of benefits. With all the knobs, switches, and pickups, wired together, it makes it easier to manufacture, and allows the end user to make future customizations a breeze. Now with having the KLOS pickguard being carbon fiber, we introduce the best of both worlds, being convenient, and having the superior look and feel.

Playability
Achieving the perfect playability is an art. The nut, fretboard, frets, truss rod, body, and bridge, all have an influence on the string playability, getting them all to work together perfectly is what makes a guitar feel like home. Here at KLOS we take playability very seriously, that’s why we put a lot of attention into leveling the frets, filing the nuts, and adjusting the saddles. Each guitar then gets played up and down the neck by our inspectors to confirm it’s worthy to go have a KLOS logo and go out the door.
KLOS Pro Aluminum/Brass Bridge
The perfect blend of performance and light weight. The aluminum body is machined from a solid block making it lightweight with precision quality. The saddles are individually machined out of brass to give the optimal sustain and sound transfer. The saddle screws are precisely designed shorter so they feel comfortable and don’t dig into your palm. The hardtail, string through body design provides the downward string pressure for the saddles, bridge, and body. This bridge is as premium as it gets.

KLOS Pro Aluminum Knobs
The KLOS Pro Knobs are individually machined out of lightweight aluminum, resulting in a premium feel and unique style. They come in two different colors, the natural aluminum with a black indicator line, or the black coated aluminum with a white line. The color of the aluminum knob will match the color of the pickup.
Wood Body
The KLOS electric and bass body comes in 2 wood options, Okoume, and Ash, both of which are superior choices for a solid body guitar.
Ash is used for it’s high density, strength, and the beauty of it’s wood grain. Okoume is used because of its extreme similarities to mahogany, and while mahogany is currently becoming an endangered species of wood, Okoume is an excellent choice for it being a lightweight hardwood, and being unbelievably similar to mahogany for both tone and looks. Okoume, like mahogany, is less heavy than Ash, and is often chosen by many guitarists for this reason.

Ships from our factory near Salt Lake City Utah
We are proud to have our factory located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, which was the original inspiration for combining adventure with guitars. We are proud to do the design, assembly, and most of the building in our own factory in Utah, and we buy parts and materials from world renowned factories overseas. A big question we ask ourselves is: which part of the guitar building process requires the most skill, and impacts the player the most? The first half or the second half? Our answer: the second half. So we outsource some parts and materials (the first half), and keep the second half of the manufacturing process in house, and do it ourselves. This allows us to scale as a company and focus on building quality instruments that are incredible to play and listen to, which is our main goal.
The KLOS Convert Gig Bag
The patented KLOS Convert Gig Bag, has the unique feature of having 2 modes of operation. It works as a standard gig bag when the guitar is fully assembled, and also when the neck is detached, unbolted and collapsed. That’s right, the same bag works for when the guitar is folded and when it’s fully assembled. When the neck is detached, the neck goes in the neck sleeve, on the side of the folded gig bag. The gig bag materials are made from the same stuff that camping backpacks are made out of, making it durable and reliable. With the guitar itself being very durable, a traditional hard case is not as necessary for most day to day use, making the KLOS soft case gig bag is the perfect choice for the KLOS guitar.

Klos Custom Shop Blackout Pickups (Passive Humbuckers)
These blackout pickups have a flavor of traditional humbuckers with a modern touch. Durable injection molded casing with epoxy sealed internals, these pickus produce an articulate sound with a responsive feel. They can easily handle a wide range of tone from clean and quiet, to aggressive drive. (Passive means that they don’t use a battery). Having 4 knob is also an option as an add-on (2 volume, 2 tone).
Fishman Fluence Classic (Active Humbuckers)
Original and totally re-imagined, Fishman Fluence pickups have 3 voicings, which is like having 3 guitars packed into 1, resulting in a wide range of tones that can play any genre. It’s thanks to the patented new technology that doesn’t use wire coils. The Fishman Fluence are free from hum and noise, even with the single coil voicing. The controls have the Push Pull knobs to change the voicings, and a 3 way switch to choose the pickup. Standard wiring is with 2 knobs (1 Volume, and 1 Tone, The volume is a push-pull for single coil, the Tone is push-pull for voicing change). Having 4 knob is also an option as an add-on (2 volume, 2 tone, both volume knobs are push-pull).

Custom Pickups! Choose your own pickups and wiring
One of the greatest design features of the KLOS electric and bass, is that you can easily customize the pickguard to fit any pickups and any knob configuration you want, and we will cut the pickguard and do the wiring. For musicians that are very set on a certain type of pickup, or knob configuration, we will cut the pickguard on our CNC, and solder all the wires and pots, and build you exactly what you want. If you ever want a new pickguard setup in the future, the KLOS carbon pickguard can be easily swapped out for a custom cut pickguard to fit any pickup shape, position, and number of knobs. No need to buy a completely new guitar, just because you want different pickups and knobs. (With this option, you provide the pickups, pots, switch, and exact wiring diagram)
Longer 24 Fret Neck
The 22 frets neck with a 24.75 in scale length is what comes standard, and is our favorite choice, but you can choose the longer neck with 24 frets and a 25.5 in scale length. The shorter scale length has the frets slightly closer to each other, and allows the strings to have less tension, than the longer scale length. Both sizes are very common, it’s just a matter of preference for some.

Ratio Multi-Gear Locking Tuning Machines:
Ratio Tuners, made by Graph Tech Guitar Labs, have a different gear for each string. Thicker strings have more teeth, thinner strings have less teeth. Makes tuning your guitar feel and perform like a dream.
Floyd Rose Tremolo System
The original double-locking tremolo system used by more professionals than any other. Using hardened steel and a nickel-plated brass sustain block. We'll do all the work for you to make sure this classic works great on your Apollo.

About the design of the Carbon neck
An electric guitar neck neck is long and thin, which is why it is even more important that it is more strong, lighter and reliable than any wood neck.
The Heel of the neck is the same thickness of the neck itself which is not possible with wood. This makes the neck feel the same as you play in the higher frets. This design achieves that seamless feel similar to a one piece body and neck.
The most common place for a wood neck to break is where the neck meets the headstock. With a carbon neck, this position is equally as strong as any other part of the neck, so you can rest assured that you have the strongest neck in the world.
Neck features
The carbon neck has a truss rod like most wood guitar necks, but it’s not for the purpose of strength, it’s for the purpose of adjusting the bow of the neck to the exact preference of every player. We adjust the truss rod to the most popular neck relief in our factory , but it can be easily adjusted by every musician with the included wrench.
The neck is a detachable neck that makes it easy to disassemble into a carry-on bag or suitcase. It is attached with 4 screws, like most bolt-on wood necks, but the KLOS carbon neck has metal threaded inserts, and uses machine screws specifically designed to make the neck removable. With a removable neck, traveling with the guitar as a carry on, or putting the guitar in a standard size suitcase is more easy than ever.
The fretboard on the neck is a composite synthetic ebony which does not expand or contract with temperature or humidity changes, or with time, which means You will never have sharp fret issues, and your great great grand children won’t either. The beautiful ebony-like fretboard is dense, durable and smooth.

Headstock details
The headstock is a compact shape, making the overall length of the neck shorter, with a 3+3 tuner pattern that still has the same spacing as a 6 in a row, making tuning your strings just as comfortable, yet feel lighter. The tuners are the heaviest part of the neck, so keeping the weight of the tuners as close to the body as possible, and having a lightweight carbon neck will make guitar playing for hours even more enjoyable.
The headstock break angle is 11 degrees, making it the optimal angle to have the perfect string force on the nut. This lowers the friction of the string on the nut, which lowers the chances of your strings going out of tune on their own, and makes tuning your strings more precise. When you look at the neck from a front view, you will also see that the strings go in almost a straight line, which also lowers the friction on the nut, which also helps create optimal tuning.
A Valuable Addition
I had to wait quite a while for it to arrive, and then the screws to assemble it were missing. I finally got it assembled and started playing. It took a few sessions before it would hold the tune. Once I got that worked out, I found it very easy and enjoyable to play. Once I get this off, I think I’ll play it some more!

Klos in the Army
Not only did I get to obtain a guitar I’m absolutely in love with, but I got to work with a the owners in the creation of this guitar. Truly one of my favorite purchases

Excellent Customer Care
I was getting terrible buzzing from my guitar and I wasn't able to tune it. They suggested sending photos and a video, which I did. After they analyzed the photos and video, they suggested I send it in. They fixed the nut and sent it back. It plays beautifully now. Thank You Niko and crew!

Ian and George at Klōs made me a great guitar ... it's now my favorite instrument!
I bought a Klōs Apollo guitar after a consultation with Ian at Klōs. I wanted a special guitar because I generally sit down to play and I sit holding my guitar in the classical position. I sit like that because I'm old and have problems with tendons and joints and such. But a regular Apollo would have its output jack in the same place that a Les Paul has its jack, and it would cause problems for me by interfering with a comfortable sitting position. Ian told me he'd work with me to change the jack location to a place on the pick guard. We decided to do that, and to fill the jack location on the guitar body with epoxy. Klōs built the guitar that way, using an ash body, 22-fret neck, the steel (standard) Apollo bridge, black-out standard pickups, and two controls: one tone and one volume pot. I also wanted the ratio tuners and the honey-brown clear finish. The guitar is a magnificent instrument, has a very slick neck, and it is the easiest guitar to tune that I have ever owned because of those ratio tuners and the great stiffness of the carbon fiber neck. It came in a box that measured only 5" x 15" x 24", with the neck removed and a special Klōs capo holding some tension on the slacked strings. The guitar was packed it its special gig bag, suitable for an overhead bin on an airplane. I was so surprised at how small the guitar came, and pleased at the high quality gig bag and capo. The pickups are powerful and clean, man. This guitar has loads of tone and sustain and the intonation is spot on all over the neck, right up to the highest fret. I play through a Fender Mustang 100, and the guitar provides juicy tone and power. I really like it––great guitar. Thanks, Klōs, for building me this truly special and wonderful guitar. I'm going to sell all my other electrics, because I don't pick them up anymore. Y'all get you a Klōs guitar too. Klōs will treat you right. Eric Whitney, Durango, México

Apollo Pro stunning
For starters I am a Gibson player. I have 3 LP's, my favorite being a custom shop black beauty. I have wanted a short scale strat style guitar for a long time. Fortunately I found Klos. The guitar arrived. Not sure where to begin. Meticulous build quality. The neck is spectacular. It has a wonderful sort of familiar feel. I got it with the Fishman Fluence pickups. The feel of the neck, the fretwork, and the sound is truly incredible. I am a YouTuber and I travel a lot. This is a solution to that problem. Taking a Les Paul on the road just wasn't realistic, but the Apollo Pro is a dream to travel with. I am more than happy. This is an underpriced guitar. I haven't played my LP's since it arrived. Oath.
