The guys at Klos are the best. Super to work with and made sure I got exactly what I was looking for. The guitar is everything I was hoping. Always tough to buy a guitar without playing it first and there are other options available, but I no doubt made the right choice for my needs. Intonation, playability and feel are exceptional. All very important. Sound is also great. It’s not a dreadnaught so don’t expect that. It’s a very nice sound in its own way and everyone who hears it agrees. Thank you Klos!
Perfect apartment and travel guitar. Compact, but still feels like a full size guitar with full size sound. Lightweight and easy to assemble and maintain. 10/10.
Ordering from Klos and the website was very easy and streamlined. After my order they promptly let me know the wait time on the instrument, 6-8 weeks. (There were many factors, 1st and foremost the instrument are built to order. I was getting excited about receiving the Klos, so I reached out through email to see if they had an idea of when the instrument would ship. I received a response RIGHT AWAY from an actual person, not an automated response. The instrument arrived within the time they originally had said. Taking the guitar out of the box I noticed that they ship it with the neck off (Strings on-w/Capo) so the customer can get comfortable with putting the neck on. A major reason I bought this guitar was the portability and ease of travel with the neck removed. Putting the neck on the guitar was easy. Perfectly set up and the playability was great with no set up or tweaking needed! It sounds fantastic for a travel guitar and feels great as well. I can't wait to travel and go on adventures with my KLOS. Great company and great instrument!
I received my full carbon travel guitar a little over a month ago, and took it with me on vacation as my carry-on item. For those who travel a lot and need something durable AND small, this is pretty nice. If the packing size is less of a consideration, but you still want the durability of carbon fiber, I'd consider going for the full-size. As far as sound quality goes, it sounds like what it is: a little guitar. I think the carbon fiber gives it a brighter (jangly?) tone, especially when strumming, and the bass strings don't have much fullness. I also have a 3/4 size Luna Safari Muse, and while the Klos blows it away in construction quality, I think the Luna sounds just as good, if not a little better. That was disappointing given the price. Everything else about the Klos is great: the removable neck gives it a significant portability advantage, the materials are bulletproof, the tuning is great, and the customer service is awesome. I think I just had elevated expectations based on some overly-glowing reviews. All that isn't to say that this is a bad guitar. In fact, I think it's wonderful for what it is. Just don't fool yourself into believing this is going to deliver anything like a full-size sound. This instrument is for people who REALLY need a guitar that is durable AND small/light. If those extra inches and ounces won't matter to you, you might be happier springing for the full-size option, which is what I eventually did. Now, I've got a guitar with a much richer, fuller sound, and fits my long arms better. On top of that, I think the full-size will fly just as easily as the travel-size, at least according to current instrument guidelines.
The playability really good. All the parts of the guitar are top quality. The guitar sounds great amplified too. It sounds really good and unique.
Such a great idea! Look…. It isn’t a Taylor 814 that you can carry in your back pack BUT it is very well made, totally portable, works well with a Tonewood amp, and totally cuts it for fun in remote areas that you usually can’t play in. Good sound and value for money. Indestructible too! Go on… get one!
