A B-Stock instrument is merely cosmetically flawed. It is just as durable and beautiful sounding as a brand new instrument, however, throughout the manufacturing process, it has an imperfection that does not allow us to sell it as a perfect instrument. These imperfections are minor, ranging from a small scratch, a wave in the carbon fiber weave, a slight ding in the soundboard or neck, etc. Most people can’t even tell that there is an imperfection, but because we pay such careful attention to each detail, we are aware of them.

Love this little beauty!

My ukulele came with high action. I watched some You Tube videos and filed the saddle down. I’m not a fan of nylon strings, so I put some nice fluorocarbons on. This little beauty really sings now and is comfortable to play. I love the rich resonant sounds. Easy, personable and wonderful communication with KLOS. And this B-stock uke is flawless to me.

Cool Carbon Uke!

This ukulele is beautiful. I was impressed that the B Stock “defects” are virtually undetectable! Personally I wasn’t thrilled with the Stock Strings, switched them with D'Addario EJ99TLG Pro-Arté Carbon Ukulele Strings, Tenor Low G. To me now it sounds AWESOME! Even though this uke is indestructible, the gig bag seems cheaply made but is an “expensive “ add on. Overall GREAT UKE, Mahalo Klos!

Exceeded High Expectations in Every Way

I bought this on the spur of the moment early in the AM. I humidify another ukulele and a Venezuelan cuatro, and was ready to go that way with a custom instrument. Then I thought, "Screw this!" No more humidification. I have always loved the design aesthetic of the Klos, both the looks of the carbon fiber with the wood fretboard and the small headstock. (I know there are naysayers on that part.) It looks infinitely better in person and as a B-stock, I can't find the imperfection unless it is a slightly wavy weave on the backside of the instrument? It captures the attention of people who see it. The sound is resonant and bold with nice sustain. The ukulele feels like a much more expensive professional instrument. The purchase experience was fantastic. I had a minor billing issue and Kyle fixed it in minutes, not hours. My Klos will travel with me for a week at a beach in San Diego at the end of the month. An early morning decision paid off!

Tenor Uke, B stock, Wood neck, LOVE IT!

Love your website, easy to order. Got my Uke a day ahead of scheduled delivery. I love the sound and action. Changed the high G string to low G. My neighbor has a travel guitar, which he loves and when I saw Stu Fuchs, Ukulele Zen on u-tube playing one of your Ukes, I was sold on the idea of a carbon fibre uke.

LOVERLY!

What a beautiful item! I’m already enjoying its resonance and plan to practice more to justify its purchase. Just holding it makes me smile. It’s living on a stand right beside me to facilitate the grab and play experience. Communication with KLOS was a delightful experience. I’m very happy I invested in this item. My hedgehog is jealous.

Semi custom B stock

Ordered one with upgraded nut and bridge, the black tusk. A low G was also switched out. Impressed with the neck and spot on intonation which should not change due to the carbon fiber rods. Sounds good but even better when I changed the stock strings to Oasis brand, more separation of tones for picking and strumming. It’s a fun ukulele to play and the B stock rocks! No one can see the flaws, most are inside the uke. Now I can go to the beach in 80 degree sun and strum away without fear of warping the ukulele! The only drawback is changing strings, it must be done through the sound hole.
