Alex has always loved to explore. As a young boy, inspired by the pages of National Geographic and photographers like Ansel Adams, Joel Sartore, and Steve Winter, he snapped pictures wherever he went beginning with his parents' film camera, and dreamed of being a wildlife and nature conservation photographer. He was introduced to KLOS through founder Adam's brother Emil one college summer, and met Adam post-grad while they were researching and teaching abroad on Fulbright Fellowships in Germany and Austria. Alex, who played violin and piano, now has another instrument to learn - one that's sturdy enough to adventure with him around the world.
